As we look at the history and tradition of the Catholic Church in the Slidell area, we feel it is fair to say that Our Lady of Lourdes parish has had a major impact on the lives of thousands of families and individuals. Since our beginnings in 1890, we have had the opportunity to spiritually nourish, educate, and reach out to this entire community.
The Church of Notre Dame (New York City) is an affiliated Church of Our Lady of Lourdes. It is dedicated to her veneration and Lourdes waters are available to pilgrims at the New York church, with the 1910 interior constructed as a faithful, large-scale replica of the Grotto.

Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine located on Davis Drive (Fish Hatchery Road) in Lacombe, Louisiana was constructed by Father Francis Balay in 1923. Father Balay came to Lacombe in 1915 to finish the construction of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lacombe.
